Leo, should be thousands of musos out there who can write you a theme song (creative commons). Something like the FLOSS theme would be great. Setup a competition. A bit like Paul's "everything must go!" - Lawrence Di Stefano

It should be instrumental (sound effects are ok) and needs to have a strong open and run for 30 seconds, then I start talking and it can go another 30 or more. There should be a post or transition at 30 and the rest should be appropriate for talking over. - Leo Laporte

The CC attribution requirement is a non-starter - I can't credit the performer EVERY time I play the theme. We play it twice an hour. I can use any ASCAP-BMI licensed music without attribution - we pay the license fees. (Rush Limbaugh, for example, uses The Pretenders, My City Is Gone without any attribution at all, but they get a royalty every time he plays it.) I'm glad to give credit once in a while but I just can't do it every time. - Leo Laporte

Is this a bandwidth issue or the tools[which use webservice in the backend] are unable to handle it, do you ways connection drops or overall upload failures and how much off the upload had completed when the upload breaks - Jayavasanthan J

I think the problem is mostly with the asymmetric broadband connections to the internet. Most people don't have very high upload speeds. - Daniel D. Cole

Dukeswharf - Vimeo does have issues from time to time. I use them as well because they seem to be more reliable and the video load/playback is much better. But they still have work to do on reliability and speed. - Brian Roy

It strikes me that there's a bigger problem with broadband in this country than the video sites themselves. The bandwidth just isn't there to upload them in a reasonable fashion, and it's only *barely* there for playback. Blame Comcast, Time Warner et al. - Eric P

If you capture vision from a MiniDV camera with iMovie, you can set time lapse settings under the capture mode. Be sure to tweet if you find a camera that does it internally. It would make more sense if a HDD/SD memory camera had the function internal because starting and stopping a MiniDV tape for an extended period would ruin the tape. - Derek Steen
