What do dinosaurs sound like? Mainly a bit shrieky and high-pitched, with a few larger species taking care of the bass. At least, that's how designer and Royal College of Art graduate Marguerite Humeau has reimagined the cries of these ancient creatures. Humeau, who appeared in the May issue of Wired to speak about how she reconstructed the vocal chords of extinct species to create the cries, has released a video (above) of the final product -- the sounds of an entelodont (an ancient hippo-like creature), a mammoth and a 50 million-year-old ambulocetus (an ancestor of a whale known to swim and walk on land).
