Exclusive: A look The Script For V: THE MOVIE! - Movie News - Latest Movie Reviews and trailers
"loved it as a kid and was thrilled when I was able to score the 145 page script dated September 1, 2007. V: THE MOVIE is a film adaptation of the critically acclaimed 1983 two-part television mini series. I read the script on the nightmarish plane ride home back to New York from L.A. and the read kept me occupied. So what’s the verdict? Loved it then, and love it still. The script’s biggest success is modernizing the premise into a well-paced story that draws parallels to the modern war in Iraq. As a script, V: THE MOVIE tells an epic story solidly. The plot follows many key and important characters but focuses mainly on news cameraman Mike as he fights his way to expose the true nature of the hostile alien threat, while joining a small but growing number of human resisters against the alien occupation." - RAPatton from Bookmarklet
In my memories, I sometimes get V and Alien Nation mixed up. I know I shouldn't. - Michael W. May
Michael, one had curdled milk and the other one had a woman swallow a rat whole. How could you get them mixed up?! - Akiva Moskovitz
V was aweseome. I remember kids dressing up as Visitors for Halloween. Marc Singer's best role surpassing that of "Dar" in the legendary Beastmaster - RAPatton
Faye Grant from V married Stephen Collins from Tales of the Gold Monkey. That is a some serious 80s TV in one family. - RAPatton
I loved this show, it was an early influence! - sergiooo
man they're bound to ruin a good thing. i always wanted to have a girlfriend who was a lizard when i was a kid. - Cee Bee
RAP, that you remember Tales of the Gold Monkey is some serious 80s chops ;) Next you'll be tossing out Riptide trivia - Michael W. May
what a great series - a seminal moment in my childhood - Marco(aureliusmaximus)
Very cool - used to love this show, hope they make it even better with this version - Les Zaldor
Dear Hollywood, Please be original. Love, Tad - Chrimmus Tad
V freaked the crap out of me as a kid. A few years ago it was on some nondescript cable channel so I watched it all again. Couldn't help but think A) This scared me?!? and B) Boy I hate 80s fashion. - FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
To think that Robert Englund actually played a good guy in the original series. ;-) - cmiper
huge fan of the stuff out of the 80's. always wanted more from the V universe. - (jeff)isageek
the mini-series gave me nightmares for about 5 years when I was a kid. I still can't look at parakeets without looking for suspicious people eyeballing them. - Morgan

Former Digg users: What about Digg made you leave?
Realizing that I had very little in common with the typical Digg user. I don't like Ron Paul, I don't like blending electronic devices, I don't wan to talk about Apple or Linux all day, never really used Ubuntu, etc. Finally, the conversation over there is pretty annoying in general. People seem to compete to see who can be the rudest, funniest, etc. Digg has very little to do with learning about new trends. - Mike Reynolds
I would have to agree about the community, though I have no problem talking about Linux. - Rishabh Mishra (p248)
for me it was adding all the other categories...i liked it when it was more of a tech news site. Now it just seems watered down. - (jeff)isageek
Same with Mike. It's all the same and very little diversification. I want a social news site will give me a variety of topics, not the same opinions over and over again. - Shey, Jamaican of FF
Problem 1 - The cliques Problem 2 - The community tends to be rude Problem 3- Other sites are just better. SocialMedian comes to mind as a much better solution. - Joe
