"Is anyone not mentioning that Freddy and Fannie have 5.2 trillion dollars in debt? If they defaulted on this debt it would be worse than China or Japan or France or UK just chilling and not producing anything for a year. The fall of these companies would be as bad as the Great Depression, each bank would seize and economies would collapse. Kudos for the gov't stepping in.
