Looks slightly more fully-featured than GitX, but it's not open source and it's only free while it's in alpha and beta stages. Still, Mac OS X is sorely lacking a high-quality commercial GUI for git. - Steve Webster
I was going to say "Meh, who needs a graphical client?", but it is useful when doing things beyond basic check ins. Shame GitHub isn't FOSS. - David Dorward

Changes in Opera’s user agent string format - http://dev.opera.com/article...
The user agent string continues in its quest to be as stupid as possible with Opera 10 AKA Opera/9.80. Double digit major version numbers is just too much for some crappy browser detection so Opera is bowing to their needs and sticking to version 9 (with version 10 tacked on the end). - David Dorward

This looks like it will make writing Firefox extensions somewhat easier. I'll have to check it out properly later. - David Dorward

HTML5 - title attribute - http://www.w3.org/TR...
HTML5 appears to have improved (compared to HTML 4.01) the description of the title attribute. I should make use of this in the blog entry I'm crafting. - David Dorward

Over the past few days, I've mentioned how impressive Antivirus XP 2008 (and its friends with similar names) is. It's a truely horrible bit of malware that has managed a vast collection of infections and is exceptionally difficult to remove. A friend I have to works in tech support said that about a third of this companies clients had fallen prey to this one. - David Dorward

How to debug JavaScript with Visual Web Developer Express - http://www.berniecode.com/blog...
A useful reference on how to trigger the debugging features of MSVWDE, it is long winded enough to be a pain, but a sanity saver for those times when your bug is limited to Internet Explorer (and thus outside the scope of Firebug). - David Dorward
