That's ashame to hear. This is why I don't use ebay anymore. Hope the dispute works out. Think it's time to send the TWiT Army after this jerk?...via feedalizr - Chris Rodgers
I really hate eBay. When I attempted to sell my old MacBookPro it was a disaster. I got a fraudulent purchase from Nigeria & eBay refused to refund the sellers fee. I ended up selling it directly to a used Mac dealer. - Mike Cohen
I'm sorry man. Ebay sucks now. Its all about craigslist - Leon Westbrook
I have bought lots of camera stuff on ebay but I would never buy anything for as much as $2200 from an individual seller without personal contact. I find that Craigslist even though it limits the geography of buyers and sellers is much better for that size of purchase - Brian Sullivan
sorry to hear that happened. Not a good endorsement for eBay. - Thomas Hawk
i hate HATE ebay. hacker stole my acct 2 years ago and sold copyright sunglasses on it and i had to pay $40.00 to cover all the charges. ebay did not pay me back and the collectors called almost hourly for 2 weeks trying to collect. - Chris Harris
Sorry to hear that... I hope that you can get your money back. - Grant Bierman
Sorry to hear that. I was ripped off on my first eBay purchase. The seller STALLED me long enough to get past 30 days, then stopped all communication. I tried a mediation service (eBay ignored me), and they started talking...until the mediation seemed powerless. It took 3-5 years before I tried eBay again. For anything meaningful now, I need (1) phone number (2) Internet search on their background (3) street address. Not for $10 razor blades, though :-) Best of luck Leo on your dispute. - Mitchell Tsai
, etc. I wouldn't spend more than $50 on eBay now (unless I could collect the item in person) - Ben Metcalfe via twhirl
Sorry to hear that, I never buy from eBay too. I got ripped off $400 -- which ain't no where your losses, but I learned my lesson. eBay recovered only 1/2 of it. - Kambiz Kamrani
That's $300,000 worth of tickets. Wow. - Robert Scoble
163 tickets to LeWeb were sold mostly using Friendfeed and Twitter at the very early below our cost price for friends. This is an amazing story allowing us to cover the room and all the costs to prepare the conference, without any marketing, just with our friends who trust LeWeb Geraldine and myself to put together something cool. Check the list of who is coming on the attached link. There are 87 tickets left at this price. You rock LeWeb friends, and will allow us to put together another great conference in Paris! - Loic Le Meur
weird behaviors with long texts on Friendfeed which I had never tried. When Friendfeed tries to replace a blog post :) - Loic Le Meur
That's what I love about it - you never have to blog about a link again. All new news gets blogged, and all opinions on news go to FriendFeed. - Jesse Stay

we are trying to be the first ones to make $1 million in revenue on Twitter and Friendfeed :) - Loic Le Meur via twhirl
I'm glad -someone- has a business model here! ;-) - Andrew Feinberg
Andrew, no speaker list yet, we're on it and don't want to make it too early to make sure we capture the last trends. This makes me think I should invite Paul and Bret the Friendfeed founders for sure - Loic Le Meur via twhirl
Loic - good call. I'll take the conversation private on this though. Definitely interested in EU perspectives on new media and especially regulation. Actually, how would you feel about a panel on US vs EU media and Internet regulation? - Andrew Feinberg
