It's pretty cool. I couldn't do it though. I've tried monitors at different distances and even a slight variation results in my eyes having to refocus when I turn from screen to screen which can get a bit old. Guess I'm getting old.

Sono in ospedale. Ieri notte mi hanno disinstallato la cistifellea; lo shutdown è stato brutto, il reboot doloroso. Ora sto meglio, ho un tubo che mi esce dalla pancia e fa wiretapping ridirigendo il traffico in uscita dal peritoneo verso un /dev/null appeso al lato del letto.

ciao Andrea, evidentemente questo non è un buon anno per noi tecnici (a luglio, se ben ricordi, mi hanno "disinstallato" le tonsille e la "nuova release" è stata in beta 1 per quasi 3 mesi). Non ti preoccupare, andrà tutto bene, la cistifellea è un inutile gadget da desktop: presto tornerai più "sistemista" di prima ;-)

Cristiano, io non sarò proprio un tecnico ma a maggio mi avevano fatto un bel cablaggio al cuore per un upgrade salvo poi scoprire che non era compatibile e rinviando tutto ad una patch fino al momento del rilascio della nuova release.

Faccio le veci di Gilgamesh (ma lui lo reciterebbe a memoria). Wikipedia dice: "La cistifellea è presente nella maggior parte dei Vertebrati, manca però in singole specie o gruppi di specie non correlati tra loro, in particolare: molti squali, bradipi, giraffe, tapiri, cavalli, ratti, diversi cervi, piccioni, pappagalli, struzzi e nandù." Scegli ora con quale specie hai fatto un passo di vicinanza e affinità elettiva. Non è mai piacevole, in gamba.

Detto questo, per costruzione intendo trovare l'audience giusta fra i tuoi clienti e trovare un community manager, quindi più SM che altro. Ma uno può fare una comunità anche con una newsletter, quindi non distinguerei fra SM e non. Poi boh, sinceramente dipende tutto dagli obiettivi (scusa elegante per defilarsi).

Settando il cotrollo posta abb. frequente già riduci notevolmete l'uso degli SMS / mms. Basta evolvere ancora un pochino i cellulari, attivare la connessione mobile (o pagare un canone mensile) e con il VoIP allora gli SMS si estingueranno e chatteremo moltissimo. Mia previsione ovviamente :)

Il fatto che per avere la push, o qualunque altra cosa TCP/IP tocchi pagare, mentre gli SMS sono nel più banale dei contratti, non fa differenza?

ho attivato il push di gmail ieri sera, stamattina alle 8 ho staccato l'iCoso dalla corrente e oggi alle 16 era al 20% cosa che mi era successa solo qualche volta ma verso le 9/10 di sera.

basterebbe l'edge costante invece del 3g per qualsiasi cosa push e si risparmierebbe batteria. gli sms li paghi così come il traffico a consumo o a forfait non vedo differenza, se non nel fatto che il margine degli sms è enorme mentre quello sulla banda per fortuna non lo so

Le persone sono libere di fare e non fare quello che vogliono, di usare friendfeed o altri strumenti come meglio credono, per sparare cazzate, vendere fuffa, pubblicare le foto dei barcamp, fare rimming selvaggio, continuare a parlare per mesi delle abitudini sessuali di un pirla e via così. In teoria, visto che sono 5 anni che sono state installate e saranno funzionate per 5 minuti. Si narra di gente che è riuscita a farci un biglietto (io), ma oramai si rientra nella leggenda...

Peccato che quando ti trovi davanti la vecchietta che cerca di fare il biglietto perchè la biglietteria alle 17 è stranamente chiusa e ci mette 30 minuti (trenta), ti viene simpaticamente da bestemmiare. E poi scopri pure che la macchinetta quel giorno accetta solo carta di credito e quando lo fai notare ad un addetto in stazione ti dice di fare il biglietto sul treno. E allora vaffanculo.

Io la penso come Poldo. Non sono belle, non sono all'avanguardia, ma fanno il loro sporco lavoro e sono veloci (e ce ne sono tante, difficile trovare SOLO quelle che non accettano contante). In 30 secondi il biglietto lo fai, se sai il "pattern" dei tasti da premere.

sarà anche una fortuna per i ritardatari che devono fare il biglietto, ma per i ritardatari che il biglietto già c'è l'hanno è una bella rottura dover superare la gente ferma alle macchinette per correre a prendere il treno. Per fortuna che io ho smesso. Se dovessi ripassare ora in centrale come facevo anni fa, probabilmente verrei arrestato per violenza continuata ed aggravata.

Ho presente l'andazzo generale del ridimensionare, chiudere, tagliare e trascurare per investire altrove, quindi posso immaginare. Che dire? Fring su Android non serve per c'è SipDroid, gli altri servizi integrati di Fring diventano inutili se poi hai Gtalk e la tua rubrica centralizzata con Gmail (e i tuoi organi interni in pegno a Google ovviamente...:) ). L'android market su web invece è un filino più pratico e comodo, dato che le app poi le scarichi facendo la scansione del QRcode.

Il mio macbook 2ghz ha quasi tre anni, l'ho portato a 3gb di RAM, ho sostituito il disco con un 7200 da 250gb, e ho fatto sostituire tutta la scheda madre poco prima che scadesse la garanzia per un guasto. Va davvero bene. Lo tengo e lo porto a morte, o lo vendo finchè vale, e ne compro uno nuovo?

iPhone non è adatto ai fedifraghi: gli SMS "svegliano" il telefono e appaiono sullo schermo con il testo leggibile a chiunque. LOL.

Lawrence, cosa c'è da capire: uso iPhone per tutte le sue funzioni, tranne che per la voce. iPod Touch ha bisogno di una wifi per funzionare. E consulente lo dici a tuo fratello :-P

Aggiungo un "like" perché mi piace lo spirito dell'iniziativa, pur non avendo (al momento) motivi per scioperare. E' che il diritto allo sciopero è sacrosanto, altrimenti è schiavitù.
