Security is a three-step process: Detection, Protection and Conviction. Detection To say we have security is to say we have the means to detect someone is somewhere they don’t belong. We can use security alarms triggered by the physical movement of something like a window or door opening, or infrared movement of a person or animal within a space. These alarms can tell us silently or we can use a loud alarm to will most probably scare off the intruder. Most intruders don’t like bright light or noise. However in a remote area or one that becomes remote at night, weekends or holidays, the noise may not help to deter. Today we are able to connect our surveillance system to the internet and monitor our system from anywhere in the world. Protection The average citizen should not try to confront an intruder.
