Re: Configuring Incapsula for Best Cache Performance - http://www.dragonblogger.com/configu...
"For Incapsula I pretty much use the cache options I list here, but I also make sure to put an exclude to not cache anything with w3tc in the URI. For W3 Total Cache I would configure as your hosting provider recommends, making sure. I use Browser Cache, Page Cache. My hosting provider didn't recommend object cache or database cache." - Justin Germino

Re: Google Reconsideration Request Rejected - http://www.justingermino.com/google-...
"Nofollow everything I can control in every single article that has an outbound link. If that still don't do it with some soak time, then start purging up to 15% of all my site content that was submitted by guest authors. Doesn't sound like a high %, but it is over 400 articles considering my site has 3,400 published articles." - Justin Germino

Re: Review of the Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ G3 - http://www.dragonblogger.com/review-...
"I keep lobbing all questions that come to me to my contact over at Kingston who responds with the answers. As I am the middle man for these questions, it may be easier just to ask Kingston directly http://www.kingston.com/us/com... their live chat, sales or support should be to dig answers. I wish the product spec docs covered more detail. I am more than happy to ask for you, but if you have a larger list of questions, list them all and I will ask to help save time and avoid the 3 day delay I get in my responses from them." - Justin Germino

Re: Google Reconsideration Request Rejected - http://www.justingermino.com/google-...
"You are penalized for poor quality inbound links, this is different, I am penalized for outbound links, so links I am hosting, you can't disavow outbound links, you have to cull your links that point outbound." - Justin Germino

Re: Google Reconsideration Request Rejected - http://www.justingermino.com/google-...
"It was a link penalty, not a content penalty so I don't think removing content will do anything. Mass nofollow every link on site should work, I just probably didn't give it enough time. My other alternative is to purge all articles by "other contributors", I would create custom role for those I trust, all others just purge altogether." - Justin Germino

Re: Facebook Is Tearing Out Chat To Reinvent the Idea of Facebook Itself - http://www.wired.com?p=706561...
"I have never used the messenger app before, I hate the FB chat now in the FB app. I just don't want the messenger app to have access to SMS, this means I will never use it. It must stay contained to only FB messages, not require access to read/scan SMS test." - Justin Germino

Re: Review of the Anker 9 Port USB 3 Hub - http://www.dragonblogger.com/review-...
"Yes, Anker makes an ultra slim one too, both HooToo and Anker use the same manufacturer and just brand their labels on the devices I think. I am actually giving away an ultra slim hub next week in a giveaway, so if you know anyone who needs one let them know." - Justin Germino

Re: Do nofollow links need to be added to a disavow file? - http://www.hiswebmarketing.com/include...
"Yep, so many tools, I happen to use SEOQuake for checking pages. As far as those who use plugins to auto "nofollow" links, it is possible a plugin gets disabled/corrupted and bam, all links that were nofollow are follow again, so this could be a good reason to disavow all nofollow links too if you use a plugin in Wordpress to auto nofollow them, instead of manually nofollowing them with the html source in the post." - Justin Germino

Re: Google's Matt Cutts: We've Penalized A Guest Blogging Network - http://www.seroundtable.com/google-...
"I can confirm publishers were hit as well as authors who put articles into the system, all of my sites (which all at one point were part of MBG and hosted as publisher only) were dropped to PR0 the next day, and I have about 3-4 requests from former MBG users to remove the links in their old articles." - Justin Germino

Re: MailChimp Tutorial: Sending Out Reward for Sign Up - http://www.dragonblogger.com/mailchi...
"Unfortunately this article is 3 years old and I haven't used MailChimp in years, using SimplyCast and SendInBlue so I don't know how much the system has changed or if there is something different that has to be done. This trigger email should be set as the welcome email that goes out after they fill out the sign up form, so it doesn't matter what you have for your form or action code." - Justin Germino

"Ah true, you know when I wrote this article 4 years ago, I never did get the full scan working, I only ever got it to print. It was some of my readers and commenters that took it a step further and got the whole suite working on Windows 7 64 bit, then another reader with Windows 8 Pro. I assume you read all comments on what other readers have tried to get it to work for them, but it had been months since anyone posted recently." - Justin Germino

Re: MyBlogGuest.com Confirms It’s Been Hit By Google Penalty - http://marketingland.com/myblogg...
"I have been a member of MyBlogGuest for a long time, and never paid to put articles into the system except for an initial review, but I often found articles in the marketplace and used them as filler articles for my site when I had to go on vacation and/or didn't have time to write many articles that week. My sites were all penalized from hosting and linking to MyBlogGuest in previous posts, 5 of my 7 blogs were dropped to PR0 from PR4 and PR3 in most cases. I don't think the network in itself should be penalized, do many of the people who publish articles into the network get paid to put blog posts with dofollow links in them, yes, and those links/and those sites should be punished. MyBlogGuest is merely the host of bloggers meeting with each other and offering content. Really the advertisers who buy into the system and put the articles into the marketplace, the target sites that aren't nofollow from the guest posts should be penalized if there is a penalty to be had. Still, I also..." - Justin Germino
