I have to say I had an eyerolly moment when I read she had a Pinterest yesterday.

It's one of the Onion's "American Voices" — sort of like a people on the street interviewee, except that she's fake.

American Voices still kills it, but I feel like the jokes were a bit sharper when it ran weekly instead of daily.

True Andrew. I may be biased, but I think the Onion was at it's finest back in the 80's when it was still a locally based/locally oriented publication in Madison. I remember when the guys that founded it worked on the student newspaper at the university. Their tongue-in-cheek approach caught a lot of people off guard, as their items were mixed in with the standard student newspaper fare. Once people became more familiar they seemed that much funnier... probably because they had more latitude with their editors. Success hasn't ruined the Onion, but it has certainly taken on a more commercial look and feel, at the cost of some of that early 'edginess.'
