@Kylepotts I don't even think Idenitca is that cool. Twitter is where the people are at. Uptime has gotten better. Why use Identica?

Sarah: The question is: why? I mean, let's take this out to the nth degree and say we have 10 microblog sites out there. Is there a need to use them all? What makes Identica any better than Twitter?

It's supposedly better because it's fully open. And because it's not twitter and was launched in a peak of Twitter outages. Their implementing Twitter's API was a power play. They don't want you to use them all. They want you to eventually shift to Identi.ca. They want to be a better Twitter.
