Matt Sadler Infomagination Fs Forum 061009 - http://www.slideshare.net/mattsad...
Great report by Matt Sadler that summarises his report: Welcome to the Age of Infomagination. Both the deck and report are worth a read—especially if you're DV geek! The full report contains some good points about how the creative use of data is becoming increasingly important, and further examples of theory in practice. - Dhiren Shingadia

Pure amazing! Photos and music combined to create this amazing mash up. I'd happily pay a fee for this service if it meant full songs were played. - Dhiren Shingadia
reading about data. yes I'm that exciting.
Sis is back from NY with two questions: Who the fuck is Jedwood? Why won't it stop raining??
Subaru you have a 404 error page being returned off a #PPC link. How much cash do want to hemorrhage on this position 1 spot!
10 Web trends to watch in 2010 - CNN.com - http://edition.cnn.com/2009...
Whilst I find Mashable just wee bit annoying at times, Cashmore has done a nice job of highlighting some key trends for 2010. Nothing ground breaking here, but it's a good post that I will probably send to a client, in order to keep them updated on trends to watch. - Dhiren Shingadia
Don't try to make a quick buck from Cadbury, Mandelson tells Kraft | Business | guardian.co.uk - http://www.guardian.co.uk/busines...
Not really sure what difference Mandelson can make here. I can appreciate his "industrial activism" and "cash from clunkers" schemes, but his lobbying in front of a conglomerate like Kraft will have little influence. The other question is who is he talking to? Has he taken time to understand the profile of Cadbury shareholders? How many of them are likely to be interested in keeping Cadbury's British? Hard numbers nested within a business case, that proves the commercial benefits of keeping the company British, will ultimately be the tool that reels in tempted shareholders. - Dhiren Shingadia

3D Sunburst - visualizing folder structures on Vimeo - http://www.vimeo.com/4344066
This is what Microsoft should've been looking at when redesigning the UI for Windows 7. Whilst this is only a visualization and not an operational GUI, I can see this going all Minority Report with gestural control integration. Nice. - Dhiren Shingadia

Nice reflection on the evolution of digital storage; I at one stage or another have owned or used each drive and format. Yes I'm a geek and yes I did ACTUALLY use zip disks. - Dhiren Shingadia
Good day running a client-side training session. Helping clients to listen to the interwebz and talk to people.
Paul Rand: "Good ideas rarely come in bunches" - (37signals) - http://37signals.com/svn...
Getting it right the first time. How many times have you put together plan B and C before the client has had the chance to approve plan A? I love how this post stresses about quality over quantity, the points here can be applied to anything and not just the design and advertising business. To add to it I think confidence also matters, because a lack of confidence in your idea prevents you from delivering a good idea in an articulate and concise manner. The last paragraph is also reminded me about my concerns around agencies that still rely too heavily on sales teams. Just do great work and you won't need them! - Dhiren Shingadia

Google: Zeitgeist 2009 - http://www.google.com/intl...
As always it’s amazing to see how Google can pull together its Zeitgeist through analyzing annual search trends. I’m quite surprised not to see the iPhone in any of the top tens; also no mentions of anything political related to Iraq, Afghanistan, the credit crunch and the expense scandals. Long live Lady GaGa and Susan Boyle! - Dhiren Shingadia
