Actually, after reading the article properly, i'd say that the developer's comparison is off, somewhat. At least Mobile Safari is standards complaint. IE6 simply wasn't/isn't, which is why it's still a pain in the arse for developers. However, given that it's standards compliant, anything developed for it should look just right on other mobile browsers. the fact is that this probably isn't the case because it seems all other mobile browsers suck balls, like Blackberry's for instance. That's RIM's problem, not Apple's.
