After I got a note from Duncan re: site load time, I pulled a few of my widgets as well. Pat Hawks' Yahoo! Pipes solution is one culprit, but I like the FriendFeed comments on Blogger solution too much to pull it. - Louis Gray

There are iframe plugins for widget issues like this...not that hard to implement, either (nor are they perfect, but probably easy enough and better enough for a lot of people). - abacab

This is an issue, Yahoo Pipes has been a serious problem for me as well, but I can't find a better way to do what it does. - Aram Zucker-Scharff
