I don't think it would take thousands, it could only take a hundred if the conversations became unfocused and swayed from room topics. But, I'm seeing now that too many rooms is also a potential hindrance. - Jeff Turner
I've tried subscribing to a few different rooms (and created more than my fair share)... At this point, the conversations in all the rooms I follow still move pretty slow, so it's not a problem... but definitely something to watch for - Dustin
Yes, they move very slow, but so did my twitter stream when I only followed 20 people. :) - Jeff Turner
