I'd use it to shoot home video of my kids from time to time. Much easier than pulling out the video camera. Probably wouldn't do anything serious with it artistically speaking. Still a very cool feature to have though. - Thomas Hawk
I would. I carry around a POS just for video. - stretta via twhirl
I have a point and shoot and a Xacti .. that does the video already .. having it on a DSLR ..wouldnt make a difference to me .. I wouldnt use it ,,, - johnpiercy
Did I say POS? I mean point & shoot. - stretta via twhirl
Possibly. Depends on the quality offered. What are we talking about here, less than a megapixel? - Roberto Bonini
Plus think about the wide range of effects that you can do with a DSLR that you can't with a normal P&S? Like playing with the DOF and changing it as you film, or putting on a Lens Baby and shooting video with the fuzzy focus and being able to move you focus point around. - Wizetux
Yes. Being able to shoot quick videos (60 seconds or less) without extra gear to keep up with is a huge convenience. Plus having the control that serious glass allows means you'll have some powerful creative tools at your fingertips. - Dave Roth
