I guess it depends on the reason you're creating content. Are you just trying to get pageviews or get folks talking about your ideas and hence spreading your ideas? - Shey

FriendFeed is very much in the interests of those who create content. Bloggers are helped by FriendFeed because of two things: (1) Trusted referrals (e.g. G Reader shares, Likes, Comments) by friends leads others to read your content. (2) The friends-of-friend feature exposes your content outside your core social network. - Hutch Carpenter
