Twitter uptime is NOT a matter of life and death, it's fun and the only investment we people make is our time - paul mooney
Agreed...now if I PAID for Twitter, that'd be another matter. - James O'Malley via twhirl
I knew that downtime wasn't going to get people to switch to other services. If anything it'll make people look for distractions but even though I am on FriendFeed 99% of the time I still use Twitter for the time being. - Michael Narciso
Twitter's investors are doing cartwheels right now - Mike Doeff
"You people" - David Newman
I think their measurement strategy may be flawed -- I go to Twitter at least once a month just out of morbid curiosity. And I certainly post tweets in response to tweets that appear on FF but for all intents and purposes Twitter is dead for me. I suspect there are many others like me that are being counted as users that should not be. - Brian Sullivan
@Brian Sullivan - I'm getting the other way around. I use Twitter more than FF these days. - William Beem
I find it amusing you titled it "you people" when I see "techcrunch" on my updates almost as much as Calacanis or Scoble whenever I check Twitter. It's not a service we're paying for and, people are voicing the fact they aren't happy about the issues. We'll leave when we get tired enough of it. For now..and for what Twitter offers, it's still the best thing going. - Candace Holly
Am I a "people"? - David Risley
FriendFeed has actually come as a savior for Twitter. You can always fall back on FriendFeed to keep discussion going :) - Ricardo Vidal
Depends on what you mean by care. If It's down, I'm sad. But I can live. Especially now that there are forty clones. - Francine Hardaway
