I agree with this. I used to use Digg 3 or 4 times a day. Now I use Friendfeed. The noise here is better, the comments more incisive. - David Sim
At first I thought this said "Five Reasons FriendFeed is Better Than Drugs." - Dave Winer
no-- I still prefer Digg for my 'news' (ie time-wasting) (... and lol @dave winer) - john conroy
Comments are much better here. Much less "Apple is teh awesomes!", "OMG! Ubuntu is so amazing, even though I use Windows 95", "Ron Paul is amazing", "Religion is pointless" etc - Richard Bradshaw
Do people still use Digg? j/k - Jason Goldberg
If this was on Digg it would be top 101 reasons, 6 pages of ads on a blog copied from somewhere else. Way to condense! Seriously surprised though, ONLY 5? - Andrew Smith
i still use digg as well. in one shot i can see top 10 popular news, FF i can't. it is cluttered for a one shot look (even with the "show best of") - Chris Harris
Haven't logged in in months. Which is why I don't import my account. I'd add the 6th reasons: the comments system is better here. - Roberto Bonini
i think part of the reason is the community... digg was invaded by internauts and 4channers. friendfeed makes more sense because u better control what gets to you. and the comments are usually (for now?) from a relatively informed circle - Ruben Llibre
@Ruben - " digg was invaded by internauts and 4channers" - yep! which is why Digg is worthless - Enrique Gutierrez via twhirl
I only go to Digg if I see an interesting Digg post in FriendFeed or if one of my FF buddies sends me a shout. - Susan Beebe
Hmm. I still use both. - Jamie
The idiots and spammers will find their way here eventually. - Greg Beck
I agree. I like that I can follow people I know and trust and get my news or happenings here - more relevant for me. When something or someone isn't relevant for my tastes, I can hide them. On Digg, getting whatever the popular diggers like on the front page doesn't appeal to me anymore. I admit that it used to, but that was when I was new to social networking and wanted to find out what was going on. I'm liking and using FriendFeed more these days. I may digg something I like once every month or two. - Liana Lehua
