I don't think Ballmer has "failed" in any way. MSFT money-machine is rolling on without any hiccups .. atleast for now. - piyush

I reckon that there will be a MicroHoo rematch in a few months with Microsoft being more aggressive. Have to see what materialises in the coming few weeks to see how this affects both companies.. - Joe Dawson
