"Are you tempted by the idea of Twitter inside the firewall? For true Twitter junkies, it may be nearly irresistible. And, now, we're hearing about some new Twitter-clones that are designed to operate within enterprises. However, before you start pushing this as the next big thing for law firm knowledge management, consider the following: What existing workflow or tool will Twitter replace or enhance within your law firm?" - Lee Bryant
We recently started using a regular Skype chat window as a sort of internal micro-blogging tool. We figured out a way to alert specific people or the whole group, and to make sure that the whole history is always preserved. It's a nice and useful flow of stuff which works pretty well in our small group (8 people), at zero cost and using a tool which was already opened on all our desktops. It is mostly replacing 1 to 1 messaging, but also some internal blogging and email. - Paolo Valdemarin
Twitter could replace IM in the enterprise, I mean it is a lot more fun, if annoying. - Robin Yellow
we use the skype group perma-chat option too, but we are trialling a group-based twitter app that separates status from updates - Lee Bryant
btw... this coming week we are releasing a micro-blogging feature in PagesPlus... - Paolo Valdemarin
