I'm so down! - Shey
How about next Wednesday? Doesn't matter to me really. - Bwana McCall
I'm down with that. Twitter has been consistently having issues every day for like 2 weeks. It's time they got their shit together. - Andrew Dobrow
Next Wednesday sounds good to me - Shey
I'm down with that too! - Susan Beebe
Ok, let's spread the word for next Wednesday. Need a catchy name. FriendFeed Day. No-Twitter day. Something fun. - Bwana McCall
I'm down with that (but not down like Twitter) - Mike Reynolds
How about something like Twitter Shut Down Day or Twitter Black Out. Hmmm... ideas? - Andrew Dobrow
I'm going to blog about it tonight. If you guys do blog about it, make sure you give Shey original credit. It was his idea first! http://friendfeed.com/e/e96433... - Bwana McCall
Let's call the wed boycott of twitter a "twit-out" -- sorta like a "sit out" ... What do you think of that name? - Susan Beebe
Twit-Out is pretty catchy! - Andrew Dobrow
Twit-Out sounds good to me! Will blog about it also, I encourage everyone to do the same! Thanks for the attribution Bwana :) - Shey
I'll blog about it too. Anyone want to make a logo? Or should I make one? Do we need a logo? :-D - Andrew Dobrow
Twit-Out! on Friendfeed. - Brian Daniel Eisenberg
Twit-Out! Twit-Out! Twit-Out! - Vince DeGeorge
Hey you guys like my Twit-Out name...cool! =) - Susan Beebe
i love twitter but I'd do a twit-out - Jason Toney via twhirl
Twit-out ftw. Next Wednesday. Let's all spread the word! Remember, Shey is the originator! - Bwana McCall
I will join in. I was doing a presentation to a prospect on how to integrate Twitter, Summize and Friendfeed into their marketing strategy, but I could not get Twitter up. I looked like an idiot. I think I saved face but it sure makes you not want to embrace Twitter for a corporate communication strategy. - Jon Erickson via twhirl
...and Susan gets credit for the name. Now, all you bloggers out there, get to work! - Vince DeGeorge
@Jon Ouch - Shey
Thanks for credit guys... but Bwana and Shey were the smart ones with the IDEA!!! - they're the smart cookies here! I just came up with a catchy name that really fits! - Susan Beebe
Poor Jon Erickson... look at his post above... Ouch is right. I do not think twitter in its current form is a viable business communications tool. However, if they rectify their application instability issues, then I'd recommend it. Friendfeed is much more robust and offers more mature communications features. So, Friendfeed keeps my vote! - Susan Beebe
FriendFeed is better anyway. - David Risley
Twit-Out blog post, with makeshift logo. http://jerseysuburbia.com/?p=3... - Andrew Dobrow
Full sized logo available on the blog post. - Andrew Dobrow
@Andrew SWEET! - Shey
Be a bit tougher on the mobile platform, but an interesting idea. - Ontario Emperor
We're on our way. My blog post is almost done and I'm using Andrew's logo. Let's get the word out!!! - Bwana McCall
Yeah, it's about time we teach that totally free service that we pay nothing for, that we're not going to take this anymore. :-) Face it, for most of us this is like an addict boycotting his supplier. - Kevin Shannon
@Andrew I left a comment on your post asking about image permission. A comment response there would be best, thanks. (It's tracked separately from FriendFeed. :-) - Voyagerfan5761
Haha yeah but they'll monetize it eventually. We'll be doing them a favour :) - Shey
Nice, Bwana! Will be putting up my post tomorrow! - Shey
People actually engage me on Twitter. I'm yet to see a single comment on anything I've done here in FriendFeed. Not ready to jump ship yet. - Michael Beck
@Michael - It takes some time and watch for people who comment quite a bit and subscribe to them. The possibility for interaction and commenting on FF are much better than I've seen on Twitter. Plus, we're only asking for a single day, not to jump ship. The Twitter folks need to do something about stability and I think many are just try to force their hand. Many want to use Twitter as a business app, and with the recent downtime, that's not viable. - Vince DeGeorge
If everyone from Twitter moved to Friendfeed, wouldn't Friendfeed be the one that starts slowing down horribly? - Morton Fox
Boycott? Why? I mean what is the actual problem with Twitter? Don't like it - don't use it. This is not a "cause" - Soulhuntre via twhirl
This is so stupid. Twitter is free. Don't like the hiccups? Don't use it. They don't care if you boycott Twitter for a day. - xxdesmus
