@steve, i also didn't know KFC was popular in kabul. it's also popular in indonesia, apparently - i had a classmate who interned there as part of a bird flu control program. she said most small farmers there figured culling of infected flocks + increasing number of KFC restaurants = bird flu is just a nefarious CIA plot to eliminate local bird farms so that KFC and its imported american chicken can take over the world. - Jessie
