I'm not going to say that no politician has ever flipped on a position for lame reasons but we do put them in a damned if you do position at times - we decry partisan hackery and wish that they would be willing to admit that their original position was wrong or that changes in the facts warrant the undigging of the heels and a new approach but when they do we scoff at them and accuse them of pandering. i think we shld encourage the behaviors we like through positive reinforcement - Marco (aureliusmaximus)
