I've learned a lot of people would rather try complaining some more than actually do something about an issue -- typical human nature. (Except for a handful here and Twitter Love Dayers) - Shey
I've also learned that boycott is a term taken very harshly. - Shey
I've also seen how folks can come together and try to solve an common problem in more ways that one and how the web is the ultimate platform for idea exchange. - Shey
I've have "learned" much, but have seen a rapid increase of information and follows on FriendFeed today, and that the community may be ready to make a switch. Coming over to FF for a day has shown them that there is a place for both in their lives, if not a full replacement for what they're looking for from a service. - Vince DeGeorge
I've learned I don't need Twitter, and don't miss it very much - mostly because of friendfeed. - Jason Kaneshiro
I've learned Friendfeed is far more interesting when people consciously make the effort to use it over Twitter. - Mark Trapp
I've learned that with all Tweets hidden this place is much less noisy and much more enjoyable. - Gadiel Rivera
In watching the tweets roll by on twhirl I don't see much difference. There are a few names not there that I usually see, but in general, it hasn't made much difference. I wonder if twitter can even tell that there is a twit-out? - Shamir Katsu
I learned there are a lot of passionate people out there with regards to Twitter. I've seen people willing to donate to Twitter to help with the uptime. I've learned that Twitter has a LOT more copycats out there than I first realized...That's just off the top of my head - Bwana McCall
I also learned that the word boycott has a lot of baggage. - Bwana McCall
I've learned that many ppl think you are "whining" or "crying" if you assert your right to free speech. - jeff Evans
I've learned that if people knew you were participating in the Twit-Out, they thought you were stupid and that they must do it. Apparently you can't all go different ways for a day? Also learned that my life is very dull without a lot of folks on Twitter. Sorry to say it, but I kind of miss Twitter. Not the outages though. :D - Zach Flauaus
@jeff Amen - Shey
I think we all miss Twitter Zach. That was part of the motivation behind it all. Can we please get the thing to stay up and if not, talk to us about it? I know I don't want to see Twitter go away due to a mass exodus due to frustrations (like Friendster) - Bwana McCall
I've been musing about the differences between FriendFeed and Twitter http://friendfeed.com/e/a752eb... They are based upon different principles, and each has its place. - Ontario Emperor
I didn't miss twitter. I think friendfeed performed very well today - there are actual conversations here (versus tourettes-like outbursts on twitter) - acedanger

I've learned that our Twit-Out experiment is way more powerful than I first anticipated!! Friendfeed FTW!! woo hoo! - Susan Beebe
twitter has more sex appeal. - Benedikt Koehler
Anybody feel like we should go and negotiate with the Twitter people? It feels like it should lead to that. - Zach Flauaus
It's like a tweet-writers strike - Kevin Bondelli

I feel we should all take what we've learned and spread the word. I do plan on aggregating most of the information I've gleaned and hopefully word will spread. I'm not counting on Twitter hearing or responding to anything we've done today. (It would be nice, but improbable) I do want the Twitter community to respond and communicate. That goal seems attainable. - Bwana McCall
I learned that this place is full of smart people that do their best to solve the problems that they face. This whole twit-out thing has been very entertaining. - possible248
I hope a nice chunk of you were fulfilled while doing the Twit-Out with us. Thanks for contributing :-) We got people talking. That's a big step. *group high five* Now just 3.5 hours left for all you addicts :-D - Andrew Dobrow
following the conversation when there a lot of people on friendfeed can be difficult, learned that the hard way and met a few people who I'll be following on twitter in the morning - Dobromir Hadzhiev
Same here, for all of you who added me on Twitter the last 20 hours, I'll be adding you all right back at midnight. - Andrew Dobrow
I've learned that I like the idea of having multiple forms of interaction in multiple frames... while I like having a group commentary that updates live (FF)... I also like the running personal comments that come through Twitter... I'm no Scobalizer so the volume is quite low... but I miss the more direct format. - Nancy Babyak
