Wow. It's amazing how fast this goes. I can't wait until FriendFeed gives us real XMPP access so we can talk to this from IM clients and get messages back like Twitter used to do. - Robert Scoble
The speed at FriendFeed is very impressive. Puts other services to shame. Not pointing the finger at any in particular. - Michael McGimpsey
*cough* twitter *cough* - Tyler Gillies
It is impressive how quickly it updates from all of the sites really, the slowest for me is Flickr I believe although I have never timed it or had the need to! - Joe Dawson (beta)
how do we get it to go the other way? or does friendfeed have to enable that capability? - Tyler Gillies
Tyler: that's the $64,000 question! See ya later today on the Gillmor Gang. - Robert Scoble
Scoble you close to ditching Twitter? Just curious. - Steve Rubel
Steve: FriendFeed has to get a few things. 1. Real Time (IM). 2. SMS compatibility. 3. A far better filtering and display system (Track). 4. Personal messaging. If it gets these things, then I'll certainly use FriendFeed even more than I do today. - Robert Scoble
To answer the question, though. If Twitter can fix its problems I'll probably stick with it. But they gotta be fixed soon, I'm definitely getting addicted to FriendFeed and it's going to be hard for Twitter to get me back at pre-FF levels. - Robert Scoble
@Scoble Don't miss tagging and being semantic. - Erhan Erdogan
@Scoble makes sense. I just know I have been spending far more time here. I am also careful about letting new sites into my life since they can be a distraction. This is for sure but it has tremendous value if you set up the right level of filtering. - Steve Rubel
Erhan: here's a tag: cool stuff. Now, I want you to go to the search engine and search on "cool stuff". What do you see? So, who needs tagging and being semantic when you have a search engine that works so well and so fast? - Robert Scoble
@scoble, WOW that is impressive. you can tell they're ex-google - Tyler Gillies
wish the youtube videos would populate as quickly - Kevin Nalts
im now using it to search @tylergillies to see if anyone has sent me a reply via twitter so i don't have to search the page so intently - Tyler Gillies
its often the case that I will see tweets on FF before twitter... thats saying something about the service recently huh? - ben rogers

@ben, wow thats kinda sad - Tyler Gillies
@Scoble: http://friendfeed.com/search?q... Use this link for searching "blogs"; It's not efficient as http://www.flickr.com/search/?.... Are you serious - I said "tagging". :-) - Erhan Erdogan
I'm sure this thread alone will spawn a gazillion of new pro-FF posts on as many blogs. :P - Adrian Scicluna
@Scoble: I have a meeting -1 hour later- and need a bath :D But I will turn you back about "tagging FF". Here that's not the end :D You're missing human power. (More efficient than CPUs.) ;-) - Erhan Erdogan
cool! - Susan Beebe
Who needs Twitter, if you can use your GTalk status to tweet ;) - Robert van Bregt
Just as I was considering uninstalling google talk cause nooone is ever on it anyway... - Adrian Scicluna
Thanks for the tip. - Mathew A. Koeneker
