I mostly use out of the box designs for Wordpress, Joomla, etc. and then modify the CSS to customize the look. But it is still nice to know html, javascript, etc. - Michael Tefft
I agree Michael. knowing basic html and JS are foundational. It can be bit annoying when platforms block JS in their editors. - Melanie Reed
