John: your article presents an important message. VC's are agents. They buy and sell products. They don't consume products. And it is important to remind ourselves that the only product that the VC's are interested is the company, i.e., VC's buy and sell companies. That's their business. When there is a liquidity crisis (for startups), then we have a fundamental problem. There is no worse situation to be in (as a Founder/CEO) then to have a Board filled with VC's who are suffering from "Cabin Fever" (which interestingly according to Wikipedia, "Cabin fever is a slang term for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a party is isolated and/or shut in, alone or together, for an extended period. Symptoms include restlessness, irritability, forgetfulness, and excessive sleeping." ... pretty much describes their behavior!!). - Denny K Miu
