Thank God my bank alerted me. One would think PayPal would detect 27 identical transactions over the course of 30 minutes and do something about it, but no. - Michael Hocter
OH no... :O Hope everything works out. - Mona N.
Good luck MIchael. The Skype/Paypal combo got me for $150 in about 45 minutes a few months ago. Skype gave me a refund (in Skype credit), but Paypal was absolutely no help. - Derek Coward
Wait til you try looking for a phone number for Paypal unless things have changed - Charlie Anzman
Charlie, do you ever use http://www.hardtofind800number...? They have the "hidden" numbers for tons of companies. They have 3 numbers for PayPal, including one for resolution specialists. - Rochelle
My wife found the PayPal phone number in a couple seconds, and they were pretty helpful. The transactions are now being investigated. - Michael Hocter
Good luck. - Jeff P. Henderson

Sounds good Michael. Things have changed when I had to call them a few years ago. No doubt Paypal (div of eBay) probably cranked up their customer service a bit in recent times. Man they're gonna have their hands full with bank account numbers changing!! Good luck. Hope it works out quick - Charlie Anzman
Rochelle - No but Thanks. Great tip! - Charlie Anzman

Good news! Bank will put the money back in my account while it is being investigated. - Michael Hocter via fftogo
Don't worry, unauthorized transactions are business as usual for the banks these days. Just call your congressperson and ask for a bailout. - Davis Freeberg
That is one of the reasons my Paypal account simply is not tied to my actual bank accoutn. I transfer the $$ out of it almost every day. Fraud is only part of the problem with Paypal. - Soulhuntre via twhirl
