I want... Handy list of service filters (twitter, google reader, flickr etc.) somewhere on top of the window (beside the tabs?) to not hunt the icons to the left of items. - ***™
Like-marks: a list of stuff I liked. They will be a nice addition to bookmarks/delicious and twitter favorites. - ***™
Archives: Date-based (month, day, year) pages of stuff. Would be very neat, especially with added option to further drill down via service (flickr, friendsfeed, tumbler, lj) filters. - ***™
Updates: I want to see new comments instantly, not hunt them down, especially in the threads which have sunk and got collapsed. If I posted a comment there — I want to know the consequences. - ***™
Line-breaks in comments. :) Solid chunks of text are tough to read in longer discussions. - ***™
Attention-grabbers: something along the lines of @username in twitter, a feature that works great as a way to make sure that your reply will be noticed. - ***™
API for services: I don't like the way it imports, for example, rss of LiveLib (neither the way LiveLib exports it). If I could import data with some kind of API, I would have full control of imported item's layout and so on (Forgive my interruption =) - Назову себя Гантебайн
More flickr-like previews. Tumblr has similar conventions for photo posts (a way to address thumbnails), same goes for ffffound.com. - ***™
(re: shaping of rss is simple via Yahoo Pipes, *highly* recommended) - ***™
Right. But what if I'll launch some startup and would like to make it available via friendfeed? - Назову себя Гантебайн
API is important. But it's more of a question of feature-set for the interfaces — what you need and how to implement it so that everyone's happy. - ***™
Auto-refresh: some block on the screen should reload automagically to show the newest items and updates (see above a note about more noticeable comments and changes). - ***™
This is a great list, thanks! Keep it coming! - Bret Taylor
Show my activity around FF in my-feed: things I Liked and/or commented on should probably pop up/appear in my own feed (since it's my activity). Probably this can be fixed with cocomment or similar service (if there's any similar), though. - ***™
Mobile interface! Very much needed for posting and replying. Actually, if there's light version of FF, it might very soon overtake twitter for me (of course, there's @replies feature, but I listed it above in the wishlist too). - ***™
“Like” for own entries: I want to Like my own posts. And — yes I know I mentioned it already — I want the list of liked stuff. - ***™
Widgets for webpage (same as in Twitter - last 5 submissions, or last.fm) - дурацкие ники - это модно
(You can delete them already — click "Options" link. Drop-down could be more obvious, but still.) - ***™
Easy mass operations (group control :) on users and feeds (must-have for almost every social servise). Tasks like “find all users who are subscribed to me but to whom I am not subscribed”, “find all my imaginary friends who have assigned feeds listed by my real friends”, “find all feeds among listed by my friends that were not updated in the last two months” and so on must have some more easy way to do than off-site scripting. - Universal Mind[who?]
Ability to invite a friend to FriendFeed right into your preset imaginary friend :) - Evgeny V. Chesnokov
“and 8 other people liked this” — need a way to expand the list. Link “Show them all” - ***™
comment posting field should be opened on top of comments. Also it would be great to see date and time of comment. And I don't want to see myself on my friends page! It's annoying. - M K
When I replace a photo on Flickr, photo's thumbnail URL changes. Please consider it. - haron (ничего личного)
Ambient ticker: I want a thing akin to gtalk's mail notifier — pop up changes in the corner of the screen so that I don't have to refresh the friendfeed obsessively. - ***™
readable design! When I get a link to one FF entry oneliner, I spend a minute looking for a post itself. - Evgeny V. Chesnokov
Re "Like-marks": ThumbleUpon if I'm not mistaken could show you what you marked as "liked". It's not like del.icio.us where we keep everything we want to keep. It's like something we recommend. - earlyadopter
Yeah, but FF is easier to "like" than StumbleUpon, it seems. - ***™
ahem... "invite a friend into imaginary user" can be substituted by detection of already existing RSS feeds imported - silpol
tiny but still P.I.T.A. - guys, there *is* life among America, and wishlists on amazon.co.uk and all other Amazons (and you can even make a money from those too) - silpol
Non-ajax comments: Fix a "Comment" link to lead to the entry page, and have comment form shown by default, so that I can comment it from lynx, firefox noscript, opera mini or whatever. Please? - ***™
Timestamps for comments, like "2 hours ago" or "yesterday 11:30". - 9000
Duplicate "Comment / Like / Options" block below large blocks of comments (like this). - 9000
