Looking for feedback on my most recent project... a social search site/toolbar http://www.re-searchr.com/... (DISCLAIMER this is my site, if I didn't make that clear)
Just in general, I am sure it will be slow as I only have 2 servers... the idea is it re-ranks search items based on your social network (if you allow it access). One man show here... so be kind :)

I took a look at it before and I like what you've been doing. Mixing in twitter and friendfeed links to pages is really, really, really sweet. The connect function yields pretty good results -- i found someone interesting to follow right away. Integrating asking friends along with the search is an idea I like, but I'm a little afraid to try it out because I'm not sure what it's going to...

One minor nitpick: on the intro page you have "your" instead of "you're" in the bottom left column.

I like the nitpicks... it is amazing the obvious things you miss when you stare at things for months...

And also on the results page, the javascript boxes you get when you mouseover something should go away when you click somewhere else. I've noticed this mainly with the images box. If I mouseover the smiley face and the researchr images box pops up, I have problems getting rid of it. Also when the image is too big in that box, scrolling around it is kind of weird.. maybe if it just resized to fit? (using firefox 3)

Yeah, I noticed that with the images box too, have yet to figure out what js magic I am doing wrong. Agreed scrolling around is weird, I just didn't want to bogart too much of a person's search screen, but perhaps if the mouseout worked it wouldn't matter that much.

pnmouseout doesn't work as well as onmouseout sigh

Jason, btw, the preview stuff is more what happens when you use the site and not the toolbar, have yet to figure out how to do that with the toolbar. Posting to your network is only one thing, it will actually use your network to re-rank results, now that twitter has oauth back on maybe folks will try that.

"I've been feeling this way for a while now too. Hopefully the coming bust won't be as devastating as last time. Since this isn't a stock market bubble, it shouldn't be, but whereas wealth doesn't trick down, methinks debt might. :P"
