Is eskimo a term you can use these days? My kids have been told at school that the correct term is Inuit. We're foreigners anyway so I have no clue whether this is right. Does anyone know whether First Nations people from that area like/don't like this term? - WorldofHiglet
I've heard people say Eskimo is an inappropriate term, but I'm not sure where they're getting that impression from. Eskimo is a broad term used to describe a number of peoples in that region, the Inuit being only one of them. - Evan Sims
