For example, people can be disabled by the technology they use or they can be disabled by society's attitudes. While we understand the "people-first" terminology of "people with a disability" we feel that making the disability secondary to the person has the unintended consequence of reflecting the disability in a negative way, whereas many people embrace it as a strong part of their identity - such as in Deaf culture.
