“Maybe it is just me ---- Video information does not "do it" for me. Even with the 30DC on about the 5th day I switched to reading the information from the transcripts... Don't get me wrong The guys and gal did a great job... I just don't have time to listen.. reading is so much quicker and accurate.”

I felt very similar: I'd watch the videos, but just couldn't retain the info, and it was too fast for notes. I wound up waiting for the transcript to finish that day's activities. Boy, do I owe Hendry . . . - LJF Wolffe
that's ok. everyone has a different style of learning. some reading, some videos :) - Nikki
The thing that bugs me is I know it is or is going to be so important to the search engine even though it means nothing to me... I am a salesman and have been a guest speaker at a number of national conventions (not to mention being beautiful:-) so I can speak.... but I am going to buck all the way - Mark South
We tried to cater to everybody - people learn differently - I will tell you a vast majority of people will learn better with video - Ed Dale
Hey Mark, I hear you. I don't know so much about "quicker and accurate" but since I'm a list tragic I need to be able to read and reread instructions before the process infiltrates my psyche. On another note - I'm delighted to see you are as modest as you are beautiful! ;-) - Kim Baillie

Just do it! Keep advancing and then go back and review. Sometimes this has helped me. When I knew where we were going it helped me to go back and see how it all fit together. - Stephanie Tautkus
It's really easy to do - the trick is to have a process thing to do a bit like "Today Im going to refine my keyword research" knock that off - and you'll feel a lot better about everything else. Overwhelm is the number two kiler of the budding Internet Marketer!!!! - Ed Dale
Who's going to ask him what #1 is? :) - Ed Shaz/NextInstinct
hang in there groobers, it's like swimming, you get to the deep end, get a bit scared and then realise you can swim all the way to the bottom and it's heaps of fun. One step at a time :) - Kath
The best thing I did was plan out stuff and just do it, I would procrastinate all the time, and while I would read tons of ebooks, I would never really put them into practice, my best advice is to just go for it, trial and error is the best way to learn, if you never try, you never know;)) - Elliot Webb
For me it was a matter of faith... I never really understood what I was doing in day 4 until I got to day 10 sort of thing. And then, miraculously it started coming together. One foot and then the other. You will do fine. - Cynthia Kasper
I'm guessing that #1 is procrastination. That's an uneducated guess by the way but after reading what @Elliot Webb had to say, I can see I'm not alone in that territory. - TechDogg
Hey Ed! What's the #1 killer of the budding Internet Marketer? - Frans
If you feel it you probably are out of your depth. I still feel out of my depth and I was on the challenege since pre-season and have made just under $400 from my blog. It still feels overwhelming to me but I don't care, I just want to learn and grow and still be here next year. Just keep going and don't focus on your negatives, it's a huge jigsaw and the pieces will slowly slot into place if you don't quit - Greg Martin
What a great place this is, I went to bed last night feeling totally overwhelmed by it all, posted my comment not really expecting anyone to reply, then when I logged on this morning and read all of your kind comments and suggestions, well I just felt totally humbled and raring to go again. I took Stephen Fry to bed with me last night (well not literally) but I wanted to forget all about this challenge and lose myself in a good book, I woke up this morning feeling better and then when I read what you had all written, well all I can say is watch out Internet Marketing world Groobers is in the House. Thank You all. x - Groobers
#1 killer of the budding Internet Marketer - Comfort Zone and hair care products springs to mind? - Groobers
How about #1 killer is FEAR - Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of "fill in the blank" - Elizabeth

November 11 at 11:48 am - Link
No Frank, it doesn't matter :). - Marysia
I read somewhere recently that less keywords = browsing and more keywords = buying. The thought being the more targeted the search the more likely to buy. I'd equate it to car shopping vs. honda accord ex shopping. - davidraffenberg
In that sense I guess the more words the keyword has in it the merrier. Though it might be harder to embed a long keyword naturally into titles and text. - Marysia

Good Luck! - Ed Dale
hey chris. I thought your keyword was supposed to be part of your URl, title, and in the articles. such as "hand quilting". online quilting seems to me to be too broad a keyword to rank for. too much competition. - craig
i think online quilting is spot on - Kath
Craig, my first attempt at this blog, was importing articles from my older blog, Thought it might be good to have content. But I since removed them and am now adding all new content so that I can focus on the keyword of "online quilting" My first blog is still active and doing well, but there are many mistakes that I wish to correct on this one. Thanks for your input. - Chris Dahl

“If I going to do the thirty day challenge, should I wait for the 30dc plus?”
November 6 at 8:52 am - Link
I would get started anyway, there is so much to do, you can always pick it up as you go through, but try and ask on the thirty day forum, a moderator should be able to give some good advice - Catherine
From what Ed said on the tv show last night, 30DC+ is the next step after you've got the basics down from the 30DC. - Mitchell Giangobbe via twhirl
No, don't wait take action now so you are up to speed when the 30 day+ program comes online. 30D+ is the follow on to the 30 day challenge. - Mark McGimpsey
Do the first 30 day challenge first. I think the new course is specific to writing content, but you first have to know how to make webpages in which to place the content, and how to do key word research in order to determine what the content will be about. - mmarkets
yup should so the thirty day challenge - it's designed as an add on - Ed Dale
I keep encountering friends and colleagues who are banging their heads against issues and the answers are there in the 30DC. Each episode that Ed, Dan, Rob and Caro produced are full of gems and each time I re-watch them I understand more about the subject. So in the words of Nike just do it. - SimonWJ

Sorry, is this pre-season for challenge 2009? Can this years 30 dayers sign up for this - i did aug and sept challenge! - s thomas
30DC+ will be the middle step from the regular 30DC to ImmediateEdge. 30DC+ is not the Pre-Season for 2009's 30DC. I recommend seeing the broadcast Ed made earlier for more details - Jorge Blanco
I would love to watch today's show -- if I could find it. 30DC.tv seems to be stuck on the test piece Ed made on the 4th. Has anyone seen the recording made on the 5th? I can't find it. 8-{ - LJF Wolffe
I think it is still too soon. The main topics discussed (if I remember correctly) were 30DC+ and 30DC LLC. Both very exciting news. - Jorge Blanco
Thanks Jorge - so is it something we need to re-register for? - s thomas
Ed only said that it would require a peppercorn fee :) It is good news for those of us who don't have the cashflow to enter the ImmediateEdge yet - Jorge Blanco
LJF Yes I watched 30dctv last night Ed was talking about #30DC+ he said thirty day challange plus is going to be all new material and you will be building your own product" sounds like a plan to me! also he talked about being able to buy shares at $4 a pop in 30DC LLC. Ed if your listening I have $4 in my sweaty little palm right now, take it please and count me in! - Groobers
Dunno how it goes with pre-IPOs, but usually you cannot buy just 1 share. I think the basic trading unit is a lot of 100 shares. Although some brokers handle it in a way so you can buy less than 100 shares. I guess Ed will disclose the details soon enough. BTW, I want in too ;) - Jorge Blanco
Jorge I would just like to say thanks for the great information you give out on a regular basis, I guess this is why Ed talks about Tribes, there really is some fantastic information to be found in this 30DC Room and so many knowledgeable, generous individuals, again thanks - Groobers
I obviously need to hurry and finish the 30dc so I don't get left behind!!! - Alistair
Thank you Groobers, I'm flattered. I truly believe the more you put in, the more you get out. - Jorge Blanco
When is this version of the challenge coming out? - Jamie

“Ezine articles no longer playing ball? Anyone else having trouble with this? submitted several articles during challenge with no probs - now doing challenge again. They won't let us link to sub-domain pages on our websites, - is there anything we can do about this? need help here... thanks!”
November 6 at 4:47 am - Link
Have you tried using tinyurl or similar service instead of subdomain link? - Rita
OOh, no don't use tinyurl. The point is to get your actual domain name on there - preferably hyperlinked with your keywords. I wasn't aware Ezine Articles had ever allowed linking deeper into websites. - Lisa
Have you read through best practices at EZA? - Ed Shaz/NextInstinct
Ezine Articles never "played ball" in the first place ;-) It's important to read their terms of service at http://ezinearticles.com/autho..., so you know what you're getting into. They offer a great service, so it's worth it to play by their rules. However, they will allow you to use your own domain in your article, so consider buying a cheap domain, and have it forward to your affiliate link. Subtle difference, but effective. - Carla Lynne Hall
actually we have a grey relationship with Raine articles and tech the correct way to do it in the challenge - Ed Dale
You're right, Lisa. I forgot. - Rita
Yes I know, thanks all. Worked like a dream when I followed 30D method (Eds a gifted teacher!) problems came when I wanted to point to particular pages. Thanks, will try that shorten url idea - also will go back to principle that main reason is to get a link to our site, not make sales from there, although some marketers probably do. Back to work on it ,,,,,,, - s thomas
I noticed recently that ezinearticles doesn't have the same power that it used to... - Kelly Johns
yes, there suddenly seem to be a load more directories - Ezine was great in the 30D though - some of my London articles on there are still at the top! (shame they don't pay us for them lol!) - s thomas
You are incorrect. EZA has plenty of power. They're just administering it more judiciously, based on author and content quality. Good advice? In this economy, ALL businesses are recounting their real estate more carefully. The committed partner will get nice bumps. Follow @EzineArticles - Ed Shaz/NextInstinct
