I'm afraid I will not make it this year. But with the livestream video feed and this feed it feels as if I was there. Keep on tweeting....

Hi Eddie. Does Posterous allow cross links in posts that are emailed in. Like the idea of this service, and emailing content; but ability to cross link between new and existing posts adds real value to the reader. Any idea?

Hi Mathew, Posterous does not have any special treatment for cross links AFAIK.
- Eddie Awad
Hmm! the link should be awads.net not awads.net/wp/. I removed the redirect, but I guess FriendFeed caches it. Twitter has the right link http://twitter.com/eddieaw...

Alex Scoble - yes. and I see a good reason now - if I don't understand what it's for in 20 seconds - it's not worth it. Day passed and I'm still not sure. :)
- Alex Gorbachev
How long does it take you to see the worth of a sheet of paper?
- Alex Scoble
few minutes in the toilet. OK - FF is gonski from my blog

Wi-fi. Airport food is gross and overpriced.
- Admiral Anika
What Rishabh says. I can not bring my own wifi, but I can bring my own sandwich.

refinement: food when vacationing (avoiding yet another thing to worry about), wifi when flying for work (needing to stay in contact, and easier to grab something prior)
- Kevin Johnson
now, I would want wi-fi too. I was hungry then!
- Moushumi Kabir
ok, second refinement (architect's prerogative): both - it's not an either/or proposition. I want to wifi while eating, and I don't want to have to bring my own food. :-/

I maintained a separation between "Ontario Emperor" (my primary online presence) and my real name for several years, and have only...um..."linked" them in the last couple of years. The idea of a separate persona originated during the BBS days - or, more accurately, during the CB days - but things seem to be moving away from the creation of a separate persona (although pseudonyms are maintained in certain situations such as political oppression).

I try to maintain a personal "brand" by always using my real name: Eddie Awad.

The only linking between MiniMage and my real name on LinkedIn is my email address. Like OE, I keep up separate, to the point where I wouldn't even show photos of myself for years. It kind of took FF to make me post a few.

"Like you, I mainly use Twitter. For OraNA.info, I created http://friendfeed.com/orana and added the orana feed. then from the FF Account Settings, I set up feed publishing to twitter account http://twitter.com/orana That's it. It's a set and forget."
- Eddie Awad
"I used twitterfeed for a long while. Then recently I switched to using FriendFeed to automatically post OraNA.info to Twitter. I noticed that using FriendFeed is more reliable than using twitterfeed."
- Eddie Awad
"I use MobilePress on awads.net and orana.info. It uses different CSS/Ajax based on the mobile device, which means it formats for iPhone and other devices like BB for example. http://mobilepress.co.za/"

"A lot of Oracle layoffs today. Specifically NA Sales, Technology Business Unit, NA Consulting, NA Alliances & Channels, Retail Global Business Unit. Based on discussions with other Oracle employees, the number is around 8,000 globally. Some consolidation of operational groups. No warning at all. Just a call, and the FedEx truck showing up in front of the house an hour or so later."

Eddie, try TwitterFon, I like how it downloads 200 messages at a time. Great when you are waiting in line and need something to read. I wish it had a feature to "ReTweet"
- Julio F ~ @SocialJulio
I tried TwitterFon too. I still like Twittelator best, which also downloads up to 200 tweets. It also has re-tweet and even copy/paste, and many other features.
- Eddie Awad
With Twittelator, I can only download 20 messages at a time. I need to look at the settigns again.
- Julio F ~ @SocialJulio
Oh! I see. When I said Twittelator, I meant Twittelator Pro.
