"It’s a great way to get an instant snapshot of all the newest updates. Clicking on a feed item opens it up in the Feedly page, much like reading an item in Google Reader. You can recommend the article (which I believe shares it in gReader as well) or send it to one of your social networking sites. Happily, you can also use keyboard shortcuts to jump between items and initiate other actions." - Russellreno via Bookmarklet

Thanks, VB. You've convinced me to give it another shot. I shall be backing up my OPML first, of course. - WazNeeni
WazNeeni: feedly automatically backs up your opml in your firefox profile folder the first time your run the welcome wizard. - Edwin Khodabakchian
Ooo....requires the acceptance of 3rd Party Cookies. Someone's lost a few Super Geek Reporter points. (j/k) - WazNeeni
Commented on the blog ... Not seeing the FF plug-in (at the moment using Chrome) ?? ... more ... Double-checked - Not there. I had the same problem with another blog until the second post. - Charlie Anzman
Not seeing FriendFeed either. Hmm. - Shawn Farner
Thanks, Edwin. And after installation, my head exploded from the sheer mass of information I was looking at. I'll try again once I catch up on all my feeds, but I shall be avoiding the Twitter, FriendFeed, and FF Bookmark import options. It was just way too much. On an AWESOME note...Uninstall went flawlessly. Feedly extracted all changes to GReader perfectly. - WazNeeni
wazneeni: we are trying to better address overload in beta 2. It is not any easy nut to crack. - Edwin Khodabakchian
Edwin, no worries. I think my problem is simply the fact that I have over 5000 unread articles, and I've simply joined too many SocNets. So, Feedly seems to have worked flawlessly. I just couldn't handle the enormity that is my social network. - WazNeeni
I really like the integration with Google Reader and how it pulls in my feeds. I just wish that it wasn't a two step process to have an article I want to share show up on my Google Feed widget on my blog. So far the only way I can find to have it do that is click the "save for later" link. Then I have to go to Google Reader, go to my "starred items" then click on the "share" link to have it appear on my blog. **Update** Just figured out if I use the "recommend" link on Feedly that is the same as the "share" - David
Even though I have subscribed to some RSS feeds in Google Reader, I still prefer to go visit the web sites directly. Maybe because I feel like I'm missing something if I don't visit the web site. - Sylvain Nadeau
Wow, this is great! Thanks for posting about feedly, didn't know em before. But I love it straight away, now its fun going through your "GReader"-Items again :-) - natadd

"Mozilla/Firefox: Loser. Yeah, we'll see plenty of rhetoric about a rising tide and all boats, about Google continuing to support the Mozilla Foundation, and so on. But who are the most likely users to switch to a new browser with fancy technology? Those who have a history of doing that: Firefox users. Especially if Chrome really does offer a compelling memory management story they'll make inroads with users who are sick of the Firefox RAM footprint" [I'm not switching to a desktop browser without : - web developer toolbar - foxy proxy - delicious integration - feedly - greasemonkey - tamper data - ... With all the fancy extensions, it will take time to existing FF users to switch to another browser that won't have equivalent features for a while. That's mostly what prevented me to move to Opera when i got fed up with FF2. IMHO the target is MOBILE.] - Erwan Arzur via Bookmarklet
Interesting move from Google. It will be interesting to see if Chrome will be like firefox open and extensible or it will be more of a black box like safari. I have been learning more about Android in the last month or so and have to admit that I pretty impressed by the internal architecture. It will be interesting to see if Chrome borrowed some of the concepts regarding Activities and data sharing across applications. Firefox FTW! - Edwin Khodabakchian

"And today, authorities announced a new form of depression caused by not being "friended" by important people on friendfeed. Apparently Dr. Wadda Frack has postulated that as recognition from thought leaders in the social media arena has become a form of social currency, that the "poor" among us are prone to depressive fits of outrage at not being included on the friendfeed t-shirts of the rich and shameless. To quote Dr. Frack, "This is very sad. The poor are always the last to know." ;-) - Bill Sanders
And Dr. Frack also wants to know where to order said FriendFeed Tee. - Bill Sanders
