Friendfeed friends. please let us know what you think and how we should try to enhance it. #feedly-mini-feedback - Edwin Khodabakchian
Very cool. I think there's a misprint: you say "Why Facebook and Not Twitter?" and go on to talk about FriendFeed. Shouldn't that be "Why FriendFeed and Not Twitter?"? - Mark Trapp
@Mark. Yes. Thanks for the heads up. Fixed. - Edwin Khodabakchian
Edwin, when I search with Google, results from my blog subscriptions are added just below the Google search field, right within the results page. I like that much better than having to look at feedly mini. I like feedly mini, but please keep it as a "toolbar". (tweeting, emailing, notifications) Don't use it for content. At least not when that content would feel to be in its natural place when added to a paricular page. (in this case, it's just extra research results) - Meryn Stol
Oh and Edwin, your product is so good that I tend to write only negative about it. :) I mean, all the rest - what I don't criticize - is good! :) - Meryn Stol
Meryn: Yes. The list is indeed a more natural place but before of the real time aspect of the integration, there is a second delay until the items are inserted in the list. Some people in the user test found that delay annoying so we decided to experiment with the content overlayed in a bubble. We will see what other people think and consider changing that or adding an option. Thanks for the feedback. - Edwin Khodabakchian
Meryn: one question, could inserting the feedly results at the bottom of the page work for you? this could be one way we could keep it in the list but do not annoy people with the slide. - Edwin Khodabakchian
I saw that today, went out and forgot about it [facepalm] keep up the good job Edwin :-) - Dobromir Hadzhiev
Edwin, I think I'd like it best when the FriendFeed results would be inside an - initially - collapsed box, above the normal search results. To make sure there isn't any "jumpiness", the vertical space the collapsed box would take up (for example, just one line of text saying "3 Results from FriendFeed - [Expand]") could be left empty if there are not any results. - Meryn Stol
This one line could also contain the usernames from the search results, like so: "3 Results from FriendFeed users Meryn, Edwk and Scobleizer". Or real names of course. Just an idea. :) - Meryn Stol
OK. I think I understand what you mean. Will talk to the team about this on our friday team meeting. Will keep you posted. - Edwin Khodabakchian
Great, thanks. :) - Meryn Stol
As always, excellent work Edwin. - Nathan Chase
