"class Foo: def foo(self): return ‘foo’ aFoo = Foo() aFoo.foo() def bar(self): return ‘bar’ Foo.bar = bar aFoo.bar() This works, and seems a lot better to me. You can also add @classmethod before the definition of bar to allow you to do Foo.bar() at the class level as well as the instance level if you want."

egonkasper on Creationist teacher John Freshwater, sued for burning a cross into a student's arm, now wants to expose that student's identity; case sparks religious conflict at school and town - http://reddit.com/r...
"I attended Mount Vernon Middle School and High School, and I will say that it is a town with 2 sides. There is certainly a segment that is very religious, but Kenyon College is 5 miles away and is about as liberal as schools go. I think more than anything people there like the fact that something controversial is actually happening in Mount Vernon. It's really a pretty normal case of a teacher crossing a line with his beliefs and seeing it as an affront to his faith, while at this point school officials are just trying to keep order in the school district. Sure, some people will interpret it as him being a fundamentalist, which he probably is, and I think that's great, everyone's free to believe whatever the hell they want. It really boils down to him crossing a line that was acceptable to the town and people getting pissed enough to actually do something about it. More than anything I applaud the normally peaceful town for taking action."

"That's as ignorant as saying all people of another race look alike. I've met people in the US I could barely understand because their accent was so thick and different from mine."
