There was no proof he was a criminal, that's the problem. He should be considered a POW and treated appropriately. My dad was in the military, I was an Air Force brat, so seeing this kind of treatment is disturbing because if my dad were captured in battle, I would not want it possible for him to be treated like this. - Felicia

Very scary Orwellian, Bushian trample of rights. So, if I StumbleUpon one of these videos, can I be sued? E-mailed = sued? Surely there will be some measure of common sense used here. Maybe in the future YouTube et,all will include a home page. Go here for creative commons, go here for user owned copyrighted material, then "here there be dragons". I doubt Viacom has any interest in suing the end-user here. They need the logs to see if they can establish (via a count of unique IPs) that most people on YouTube are using it to view misappropriated content... as opposed to Google's story, which is that UGC is their bread-and-butter. - Roger Benningfield
