Walked 8km this afternoon & didn't find one Starbucks. Montreal is not Vancouver.
Fortified with the most excellent pho & copious cups of jasmine tea she steps out into the snow muttering,"I may be some time".
Had to uninstall Opera from my SGS3. It couldn't handle the redirects for signing into Starbucks or Café Dépôt wifi. Back to default browser
PHP developers that smoke here are nuts. Outside in the freezing cold with snow falling all around.

Snow storm warnings in effect. This is a bit different to NZ summer.
Something going down - metro line closed for the next four hours with some kind of emergency.
Forecast of sun was wrong. It's been snowing steadily since I got up a couple of hours sgo. Not so cold though - just below zero.
Bed. Either walking out in the snow, or dancing to a Cuban beat, or drinking mojitos, or jet lag, or staying out till 4:30am, is tiring.
Another walk amongst the pretty flurries & now back at the hotel. Damn this cold makes for frequent bathroom runs.
It's occurred to me that if one can fall in love with a city when it's below zero & snowing then it must be amazing in summer.
Tip: plan in advance to go clubbing. Winter boots may be great in the snow but they seriously impede dancing.
