It would be really nice if posterous posts were imported with image thumbnails. - Jason Wehmhoener
Yes, please... add posterous support! We'd love to do anything it takes to help FriendFeed add Posterous as a supported feed. You name the API, we'll make it happen in 48 hours or less. -garry (cofounder, posterous) - Garry Tan
Wow theres a lot. ...a lot of a lot ... the likely cause was the other day when what's his name pointed his Nokia at his monitor, giving an infinite picture-in-picture of the stream he was running on qik - Dan Covington
All: an API client malfunctioned or intentionally spammed with these comments. We disabled that API client to prevent the problem, and we are reaching out to the developer. - Bret Taylor
"There has been much talk of Twitter users moving over to FriendFeed since Twitter replies were down for the majority of last week. Twitter announced that they were back on Saturday in their blog, but seeing as the outage may have inspired some users to flock to FriendFeed, I decided to take a look at the 3rd-party applications and scripts that enhance the FriendFeed functionality.
For those of you moving on to FriendFeed’s greener pastures, here are 13 essential tools for an organized, “noise”-free experience." - Russellreno

I thought about making NoiseRiver a closed alpha (by invites) actually. But then told to myself: to hell with hesitation, let's make it and face bugs together! ;-) - directeur

My company is considering moving from Wordpress to Typepad. I found Wordpress kind of frustrating, myself. - Justin Duewel-Zahniser
I could deal with some things, but it's mostly the performance when writing a post. It proceeds to eat all of my CPU to the point where I have to kill firefox. I have a company blog on tumblr and love it, but still have my personal blog using wordpress. - Michael Matuzak
ok I deleted the tinymce directory from wordpress and everything is fine. sorry wordpress, tinymce is really the culprit. - Michael Matuzak
I think a lot of the Admin is nothing but a step backwards in useability - Steven Hodson
it's grown on me, now I am used to it. But I definitely do not like the rich text editor and have turned it off. - Jason Kaneshiro
Whenever I try to do anything in the admin Firefox starts taking up like > 100% cpu and tons of RAM. It's completely unusable for me. I need to migrate to something else. Does anyone have any suggestions? - Michael Matuzak
I use Habari - it's under development but works fine. The Admin interface is beautifully simple and uncluttered. - Andy C
"So if the government issued a subpeona to Mailinator to divulge emails or logs, you'd rat me out?
Holy crap, yes. I'm not going to jail for you, I have a boyish face and very (very) supple skin.
That said, Mailinator keeps very little for any length of time. Mailinator can be a useful privacy tool.
Privacy is a serious issue, and we want to be clear. We think Mailinator can provide pretty decent privacy, and we want to keep providing that and even improve it, but we can't promise it. A promise like that would require lawyers, money, and probably guns - and since we provide Mailinator for free, we don't have any of those." - Paul Buchheit
So what sold you? The t-shirts? Lifetime supply of double-bubble? Watching Kevin hand-pump Ana's ball? - April Buchheit
Note that I accepted the offer before the ball-pumping incident! (of course, that would have convinced anyone) - Tudor Bosman
Really, I accepted because there's peach Fresca in the fridge :) - Tudor Bosman
There is _peach_ Fresca? Well that settles it, you've made the right decision. Have a great first day! /me goes to find peach Fresca in NYC. - Erica Baker
Convince them to open a Rochester office :) - Benjamin Golub
Congrats! Is experience at Google a requirement for employment at FriendFeed? - Mike Reynolds
"This is pretty cool. I did something similar with pygraphviz and some news sites a couple weeks ago. I parsed the links for keywords and then linked stories together that had the same keywords. The first couple attempts were pretty bad, but as I started removing statistically insignificant words the graphs started looking better." - Michael Matuzak

@ⓞnor I suppose he is referring to halting program execution at certain points to ensure an order among memory accesses/data mutating instructions. In general situations this type of ordering would need to be handled in a more conservative way than if geared towards a particular CPU. - Mustafa K. Isik
Doesn't seem like that big a deal, and most OSS is distributed as generic binaries anyway. But maybe if I understood where he was going with MMIX I would know what he meant. - ⓞnor
I can't say how much of a deal that currently is. What wonders me more are his views on parallelism, i.e. parallel hardware. He does not sound too thrilled about it. I always regarded it as rather exciting. The "free lunch" might be over, but the paradigm shift that comes along with this is not necessarily a bad thing - that is neither good nor bad, just as the laws of nature don't make sense in terms of good or bad. I sympathize with many of his other views though. Interesting read. - Mustafa K. Isik
I deal with a fair amount of other people's actionscript who never took a proper programming course. Therefore my biggest complaints are lack of comments, not putting clearly explained variables at the top, ActionScript in thirty different places (a big problem inherent to Flash), and doing everything serially without knowledge of a "for loop". The stuff looks awesome but when you try to debug - argh. (yes, I know I failed the interview.) - Jason Kaneshiro
I had the same error couple of times last week. It made me realize my dependency to Gmail. - Arda Kutsal
I had that several times last week, too. I just assumed it was because I was repeatedly downloading attachments with the same filename (lack of flash drive - instafail). - Cyvros/fyc
I see Old Time Candy in that photo. :-) - Louis Gray
Who's that guy in the red on the right? Wait a minute?! He's not a FriendFeeder! Poser! Poser! - April Buchheit
No really, who is that guy? I recognize him from startup school. Is that Paul's brother? They kinda look like each other. - Michael Matuzak
Yeah, that's Paul's brother. I never did think they looked similar even though other people say they do. Apparently they also sound the same, which I personally don't think so either. At any rate, Paul's cuter. - April Buchheit
It was either that or a young Rick Moranis. - Michael Matuzak
you can see from the picture who is really doing the work! - torque
"The study only says that you don't need 8 glasses of water a day. This isn't new data, it's just being reported again. A lot of people are under the impression that you NEED 8 glasses of water a day to be healthy, when the reality is that you need enough water to replenish the amount of water you used that day. If you run a marathon you are going to need more water than if you sit all day. Drinking water isn't going to hurt you and to imply that drinking soda is healthier than water is a gross misinterpretation of the facts, which is expected from Fox News." - Michael Matuzak
