Tell Me About Diigo - http://www.scribkin.com/2008...
Nice, comprehensive overview. Wow, extensive detail. - Sarah Perez
Like #1. 10/07/2008. I've been seeing Diigo get mentioned more and more lately. This bookmarking service is getting attention. Can it make a dent in Del.icio.us? - Robert Scoble
Nope. But, delicious can improve as a result. Everything is relative really so it depends what you mean by "dent". But, let's say it this way. I do not see it replacing delicious but becoming a stout competitor driving feature sets in this application space. I hope this forces changes to delicious. - Franklin Pettit
Should try out the clipping feature more. - Hutch Carpenter
Robert and Franklin - I use both. Since Diigo has the ability to push all new bookmarks back, I really haven't felt the need to completely move away from using del.icio.us. Also, as a result, I have a good backup set completely effort-free on my part. - Phil G
Hutch - annotations are pretty sweet, I have to admit. I was never much of a highlighter-using researcher in college, but this may convert me! - Phil G
Thanks Sarah! - Phil G
Hey, J.Phil. This is an awesome review. I have been using Diigo exclusively for quite a while, but I have to save this for later because I'm still missing out on some abilities. - Rahsheen ™, Coach of FF
Gregory - Here's a simple thing you can do with Diigo.. create an account, install the toolbar, and then just highlight portions of text on web pages that you want to remember. Right-click on the highlight and Diigo will automatically save the annotation and URL for you. Works on images as well. Then, you can do a full-text search later for a particular annotation. - Phil G
Rahsheen - that's easy to do! There is a TON of ways to use Diigo that aren't that obvious, but powerful once you get the process set up. - Phil G
I used the Digolet in Chrome so I don't know anything about all that. - Rahsheen ™, Coach of FF
Anyone else hear echos of "Tell me of your home world Usul" from Dune in the title? - Todd Hoff
I didn't before but now I do. GEE THANKS TODD!!! - Bwana ☠
LOL Todd. When I was a kid I had a giant book called "Tell Me Why" that explained a lot of stuff. I think perhaps that's why I chose "Tell Me.." as the title for reviews on Scribkin. - Phil G
