It seems more likely that they were ex-GRU (Military Intelligence) members since the GRU is better at the kind of analysis needed, but either way the Global Warming movement is dead. Everyone is starting the talk about the Emperor's New Clothes. I am wondering why the supporters of Global Warming aren't running and hiding. It's odd.
