"Google Wave does have the potential to bring together many different aspects of the social web. But there are barriers. I have a Google Wave account, but it doesn't get used much for a couple of reasons. 1) The interface is buggy and slow still (they're working on it I know). 2) Most of the people I want to interact with aren't on it. The second one is really the major issue. In order to do what I'm looking for we would need widescale adoption. Beyond even the level that Disqus is giving me with these comments. It could happen, particularly if Wave makes inroads in the business market (that's really what drives email after all), but we're still a long way from it currently."

Reached another parenting milestone tonight. The boys announced they wanted to run away. Jamie didn't make it out the door. Iain stood on the wet deck in his pajamas for about 30 seconds then decided it was too cold and came back in.
