"As a Canadian user, let me say that this really sucks major ass! I've been using Last.fm over the past year, and it has directly had an impact on my purchasing of new music. I've hit torrents less, and supported indie artists more. I wouldn't mind paying for the service if I knew that the monthly fees were distributed to the artists featured on last.fm, but sadly, there is no indication that this is going to happen."

This suggests that the version of Mac OS X on newly released MacBooks, MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs based on the new NVIDIA chipsets now offers GPU-accelerated h.264 video decoding for the first time. While Apple has previously included graphics cards (such as the NVIDIA 8600M GT) that have contained hardware support for h.264 decoding, the company has apparently not previously taken advantage of it.

I am looking forward to Open CL and Grand Central. What I was hoping for was 64 bit chipsets in the just released MacBooks. I am holding back on buying any Macs until after Snow Leopard is released.

Rolf, the Core 2 Duo is 64-bit. It runs Vista 64 great.

"Its a shame that this really has become a dying artform. Bands don't really want to put that much effort into it anymore because what is the point as it's being displayed on a 2.5 inch iPod screen."

Depends mostly on your requirements. "reliabilty" && "almost affordable" => a VPS (slicehost). me not for cheap hosting providers.
- Karthick R
Titus, really look into SliceHost, i've been using it for a couple of months, i've used bluehost, dreamhost, hostnine. Nothing compares. Be aware that you get a slice on a server, you have to install the OS.

"Things are good now, picked up my iPhone at 10:00am all ready for me. Hard to believe that Rogers would fumble the most important day in wireless history in Canada."

"My phone is still sitting at the Rogers store because they couldn't handle any hardware upgrades/activations yesterday. I was #4 in line at 7:30am, and left the store at noon because they couldn't process anything. The entire system was down, and the 1-800 customer activation line was not answering. Way to go Rogers, you really messed this one up. I know that Apple gave you the assist."
