'slike how I feel about SF. Great to visit, crappy to live in.

Good to hear someone's critical perspective who actually lives there. To NJ people, NY is practically Mecca. ...via AlertThingy

I'm glad I could comment here on FF cuz your blog comments were disabled :( Anyhoo, I came by to say GO NEW MEXICO! I forgot you knew about Clovis, and other middle of nowhere towns in New Mexico. My grandma has always lived in NM or TX and *always* talks about how much she needs her SPACE and could never live in a city. I agree, but for now while I am childless and husbandless, the city will do. I couldn't even own a dog in the city, and I love animals! Suburbia for me, when I get a family.

I do understand where you are coming from having grown up in suburbia. For me as a native of Washington, DC who frequented NYC growing up, I knew what I was getting myself into when I moved there. You have to have balance to live there. It is not for everyone. I live in the city so I know I am spoiled to a certain extent with being able to walk to certain places such as my grocery and other shopping. And, delivery really has spoiled me!

@calinative I fixed my comments, sorry about that and thanks for the heads up! I am childless and husbandless and I still need my space. Cities are fun for living close to but not living in.

Philadelphia isn't any better but as @Jennifer pointed out, the city spoils you and you don't really notice it until your in the middle of nowhere with the nearest "store" being a gas station 10 min away...
