"@mtbeaver If you have it set to check for email, it will wake up, turn on wifi briefly, check it, and then turn the wifi back off (all without turning the screen on of course). I'm not sure how it works with push notification/email though. I know this because if I have Cyberduck open, it'll notify me (via growl) that there is a new SSH device (yes, jailbroken) available every 30 minutes or so (which is what I have my email checking set to). I believe the phone announces this over bonjour."
