I'm thinking of starting up a team for this year to work on the music making mega-niche. The aim eventually would be to have a membership site for people learning how to sing, play, write etc with a team to provide content, answer questions, make videos etc and promote the site. But first we start with the phrases. Let me know if you are interested.
I'm an artist...a singer (amongst other things :) and what you're thinking of doing sounds fabulous @Andy ! Would love to hear more - Blessed light - Aline Ohannessian
Sounds like fun. I'll help. - Peter Johnson
Could be fun, but also serious. We're looking for musicians, tutors, voice trainers, lyric writers, that sort of thing. - Andy Roberts
@andy. msg me. I'm a producer and musician - been at it my whole life. Have written for KD Lange and a few other popular Canadian artists - and countless CD producer credits. I run a studio in Singapore right now but wanted to get involved in a music niche myself :). - Peter Gibson
hey Andy, sounds like something we discussed last year. I'd be keen.......come a long way since then - Craig
Great to hear from you again @Craig let's catchup on last year's phrase and take it forward together again. - Andy Roberts
Cool @Andy..... Check out that lens you linked to, will see I've created a few more key phrase lenses just a week ago, one is starting to rank well already.....I look forward to a bit of a live chat.....done nothing but eat, sleep and breath IM and SEO for the last year...... - Craig
I would be interested as well, and would love to hear more. I manage the internet marketing for a vocational school in Fremont, CA - eric garrison

Is there a way to share a post/message to several rooms without retyping the message and link. Also, I have unlinked my twitter account from friendfeed because every time I write a message in a room and then another room, the message turns up on twitter each time. Was I right to unlink twitter?
Don't know of a way to "mass post" it to multiple rooms at once, but while logged in and on FFyou can highlight and copy the comment text of the post you want to repost, then click the *more* link and then the *Reshare* link.A popup box will open w/the post link already there, chose the room from the dropdowm menu, paste the comment text. click OK - Ron"micronet"Harwood
Thank you Ron. I appreciate your sharing this - Rosie Peters
No worries...Hope it helps - Ron"micronet"Harwood
Rosie did you every find a way around this? I find the same issues as well, and only had the "share on friendfeed" feature being used - eric garrison
No Eric, I just took Ron's advice & I also linked twitter again as I didn't have any other bright ideas. - Rosie Peters
Rosie, try the 'Reshare this entry' feature. Under every friendfeed entry is the menu 'More', click on that and you will find 'Reshare this entry'. Clicking on that will allow you to repost entries to another room. One Possible Suggestion: Make a post in your own feed. Then Reshare it to other rooms. Hope this answers your query! - Sam Katakouzinos
Thanks Sam, will give this a go - Rosie Peters

Netlix watch now is borked. Won't play on a Saturday night. Lame.
checked Twitter last night and seems like others were having problems streaming Netflix "Watch Now" last night as well. If Netflix wants to take over the cable/sat industry, they are going to have to do a little bit better on their streaming. Especially on a Sat. night. Not sure Watch Now is quite ready for prime time yet. - Thomas Hawk
I'm glad you shared this - I've been kicking around the idea of subscribing. - Shawn Farner
It would have to be an issue just last night. We've watched movies on Sat. nights before with no problem. - Anika
This is an excellent service for 8.95 a month, Its well worth it. Were catching up on Dro who (the recent one from BBC) and streaming it all through our xbox! I dont need a flying car. The future is here! - eric garrison
Shawn - It's an excellent service and we watch ours HEAVILY. So, while we were really annoyed that it stopped working last night (we were just about to watch the last episode in S1 of Hotel Babylon on our 360...), the downtime so far has been fairly small percentage of the total time we've watched it since November. - James (@willia4)
That being said, based on the quirkiness of the 360, I would advise considering the Roku box or one of the Netfix-enabled Blu-ray players (or one of the new, shiny TVs that stream Netflix sans box) over the 360. But that's not really Netflix's fault. - James (@willia4)
James, people were having problems with the service last night on the Roku as well: Posted a blog post on it this morning: http://thomashawk.com/2009... I agree it's a great service. But they need to make sure that streaming is reliable. Especially if people come to depend on it for their TV content and especially even more on a Saturday night. - Thomas Hawk
Thomas - I know the whole service wasn't working. I was just saying that someone thinking about subscribing shouldn't get a 360 just for watch instantly to the television (since the vast majority of people I've seen online who stream Netflix to their TV use the 360, it's probably forefront in people's minds as they think about it); the console itself is too quirky and the cheaper dedicated box would probably be better. Sorry I wasn't clear! - James (@willia4)
yeah, I'm not so sure about the Roku over the XBox 360. Overall I haven't found the XBox 360s dashboard to be quirky. (I've got 3). With an XBox 360 you have a game machine as well as a DVD player to play Netflix DVDs and a Media Center interface for your broadcast HDTV, photos, videos and mp3s, all in a single box. But the roku might be easier for that single, not sure as I haven't tested one yet. Still for my money and for the total package I think I like the 360 a bit better. - Thomas Hawk
Thomas Hawk- I agree, while the 360 may not be the perfect netflix device, it does still get the job done and is a hell of a value for everything else that it can do. My 360 has become the swiss army knife of my entertainment system. I still think I may build a media center hackintosh running Boxee on top for the social factor. If I could just get the 360 to export my data to last.fm and other services that might do away with this desire... - John Reynolds
Our only wish for Netflix on Xbox is to be able to view by genre. That would make life a lot easier. Or, I can clean out those 126 movies... - Anika
I've been very happy with the 360 (disclaimer- I work for Xbox). I've almost watched the entire Friday Night Lights season 1 without issues. - Ryan

I've had some wine too, my friends. And I love Chaka Khan, and for what it's worth, I think Bren has the best damn nose ON FriendFeed. Gives you character, my friend. :) Tina, where's Dave? - Derrick
I'm breaking in my brand-new highlighter pens and drinking organic chai tea. - tinypants - Hagitha of FF
@Tina does my cat frequent your house at night? - Shevonne
I think Bren has the best damn abs on FriendFeed as well, shriveled or not. But that's just me. - Helen Sventitsky
Bren has abs, too! Pictures or.... - WorldofHiglet
Well, it sounds like everyone is having a good and interesting night. I went out to dinner for my friend's dinner and ate too much. But then every course had a different wine pairing. I really had no choice. I could go for some of that tea, Amanda, and Mohomed, save me some cookie dough! - Derrick

@BEX I love that SITE - Shevonne
But we still missed, you Derrick! Bren was just keeping us amused with his demi-shriveled Shiva diva arms. - WorldofHiglet
Steven, you're a good man. Penguin's lucky to have found you on FF so you could exercise those skills of yours. BEX, any good ones? Post em! Everyone knows Bren's arms are the muscle-est. He's just pulling our legs. - Derrick
I had a good day. - Mathew™ one of a kind
With all those arms he can pull all our legs at once! - WorldofHiglet
something good [couldn't resist] - AJ Kohn
I appreciate the comment about my abs, but I have to admit that my abs are a disaster. My arms are ok, though. Now, if it's abs you want, you need to check out Rah. - Bren, Photophobe
Oh Bren, stop with the false modesty, already! :p - Helen Sventitsky
nothing false about that modesty, I swear it. I would prove it with a pic, but you people seem to like me, and I don't want to ruin that. - Bren, Photophobe
He's afraid that panties will be thrown if he does. - tinypants - Hagitha of FF
Mathew, I also got a haircut. We are brothers of the clippers. Bren, I'm a leg man. Just sayin'. :) - Derrick
Did you see my new hair cut. I can't wait until it grows out some. Getting it cut made me realize just how much I like it being a bit long. http://friendfeed.com/e... - Mathew™ one of a kind
The day Rah and Bren both pose shirtless here will be the day that FriendFeed's servers meltdown in a pool of lust and desire. :D - Steven Perez
I did indeed see it. And I like it short. You look like a whole new man. Just something to think about. - Derrick
Going through a seminar that is changing my life. :) - Melissa
Oh yes Steven - it's all about you, isn't it! :D - WorldofHiglet
+1 Steven - Helen Sventitsky
Yeah, I do look different. And it does look a bit better short when it comes to doing interviews and business things. But, when I'm just being me I like it a bit long. - Mathew™ one of a kind
Whoa, Melissa. Sounds like we're overdue for some hang out time. I'd love to hear how. Is this the thing Red was talking about? - Derrick
yes and yes. :) - Melissa
Mathew, at the end of the day, it's only hair. Trust me, in due time it'll be growing out of the oddest and strangest places. ;) - Derrick

It's the fun gas though. :) - Morton Fox
I just woke up and fed, entertained, and put my daughter to sleep again. Walked the dog. And now I´m on FF having today´s first cup of coffee :) - Thomas Bøhm
@Morton How? Have a lighter? - Shevonne
Morton, I hope everyone else is asleep in the house. :) Thomas, how old is your daughter? And I hear the first cup is always the best...is it true? - Derrick
Derrick: My daughter´s 6 months old. The first cup is indeed the best as long as I get my nicotine replacement gum to boot. Edit: I used to "snus" not smoke, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki.... But it was a health issue, yeah. - Thomas Bøhm
Thomas, she sounds like a little angel. And that's awesome that you're giving up smoking; you'll wanna be around for as long as possible to watch that little joy of yours grow up! - Derrick
Something good... it's warmer today than it was yesterday. :-) - Kol Tregaskes
