This is quite an awesome idea: Another good example to "On Demand". However, I have yet to see the quality of the PDFs, and I hope it's as good as it sounds. - Winston Teo
signed up this morning, i remain skeptical until i can actually see the content, and wonder how deep these guides can go, with the information requested in the process, it cannot get more than surface level - David Blumenstein

with lonly planet go all contents put on the net and Google offer one-stop travel information site sometime in future. it certainly interesting space to watch. but i think offbeat guides is very difficult to compete in this saturated market. - huixing
How much personal information would they need to to be able to provide a truely personal guide? I haven't seen how they capture that information, but that seems a crux for me, together with the 4 day lead-in which could break the convenience vs quality rule Fred Wilson blogged about. - IanBlackburn
I wrote about these guides here: http://scobleizer.com/2008/06/... you don't need all that much information. Just where you're staying, your schedule, and a few things about what kinds of things you'd like to do. - Robert Scoble
Thanks Robert - It's certainly intriguing - I have signed up, and hoping they will put my on the beta before my trip to Seattle in a week or so - would be nice to try it out ;-) - IanBlackburn
Feedback welcome :-) - Eschnou
