pq: "The librarian estimates that there are some 40,000 science journals published every year; if 3,000 libraries pitched in, he calculates, "then each of them would have to index 15 journal titles.""
- Bill Hooker
Actually I suspect you'd want more redundancy than that -- maybe 50% overcoverage, which would mean 20 titles each. Still do-able.

"@pcsweeney yeah, the design was in response to a request from Neil G for something t-shirt worthy. however, If you want to crank a few t-shirts out yourself, check with Daniel, the designer. the image is rights-protected, but he might be willing…"

"Hi Steven — I completely agree that UX isn’t a “trend” (I said as much during the panel and in my blog post about the session). Really, all that talk about UX was just to frame some honest-to-goodness trends I was/am seeing in UX design. Specifically: the impact mobile devices is having on the way we design for other formats. I couldn’t agree more that UX needs to become part of how we *all* (not just UX folks) think about delivering resources/services/whatever to our users. I appreciate all your posts & articles on the topic — keep fighting the good fight!"

I might write a post on this--I think that most TTTrendsters, in the past, have interpreted "trends" as "things that really matter this year (and maybe in the future)," not as "trendy fads," and I think your selection of UX is solidly in that pattern. It's a definitional issue... [Just left another comment instead.]

@Walt - as a total TTT noob, it's good to know that I was somewhat on track in my take on the "trends" part :)

Amanda: As one who deliberately dropped off the panel years before this year's reboot, I thought you caught the spirit of TTT precisely--but that's only my impression.

lifestreaming for a university. neat. like the disclaimer: "A word of warning: There are no editors on the internet. What you see might not always be the best Cornell has to offer."

"this is brilliant, thanks for sharing, Jenny. I am so adding this post to my reading list for my social media LIS course *right now*!"

Anyone do a lot of teaching using 2.0 tools who might want to do a Computers in Libraries session on it? I want to talk about how I use social software and Drupal to teach at SJSU, but think it might be better as a 2-person panel.
I'd love to but don't think I can get to the east coast a third time this next year. I'll be teaching a class on social networking in the spring and am looking forward to trying out some new tools for that class. Right now I use the basics...Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, Delicious. I hope you find the right person for the panel.

lovely panel idea, Meredith. I'd volunteer but I think we use a lot of the same things (i.e. drupal, social media), so perhaps it would be better to have the other panelist talk about totally different tech...? Think on it. Would be happy to talk!
